Comments:

2011 Dry paste and salsa tomato, hardy little plant. Fruit is somewhat mealy, but good for preservation. Not the best tomato for fresh eating, but produces a lot.

History

  • Russian commercial variety introduced to North America by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus in the early 2000's.
  • Original Russian name is Slivovidnyi Polosatyi ("striped plum"). Was mistranslated when brought over to North America, and became best known by the name of "plum tigris".
