Year: 2009

Seed Source: Dan & Val McMurray in Wynndel, BC.

Comments:

2009 Mostly notable for it's long-keeping properties. This tomato will keep months in a root cellar (or somewhere similar) after it has been picked off the vine (a friend of mine said hers lasted until February when picked in the preceding September). Flavour is pretty standard for a white tomato - a bit bland, but not bad. If it's a choice between one of these stored tomatoes and something you buy in the supermarket in the dead of winter though, it's no contest, 'Fantome Du Laos' is definitely a better option.
