This is a Greek heirloom variety, originally introduced to North America in the 1950’s by Glecklers Seedsmen, Ohio, USA.
This plant produced round, red perfect fruit, making it excellent for market growers who are looking for that classic tomato to sell at their stall. Fruit has a nice, smooth texture and these are awesome for both fresh eating and canning. Described as having an “old fashioned” flavour, these are often cited as a favourite of gardeners.
My short, hot season delayed ripening, but these should be awesome in a longer and more even climate.
Indeterminate, regular leaf. 90 days from transplant.
Approximately 25 seeds per packet.
Germination tested in 2018.
