Pole Bean ‘Mr. Tung’s’

Mr. Tung’s pole beans are a wonderful variety brought to the Kootenays of B.C. from China. I’ve written an extensive history here.

This variety thrives in higher heat conditions, but having grown it on the B.C. coast, and the prairies, I can say it does well in a wide range of areas. My highest vines got to about 10 ft, although they average more 7-8 ft. They work well for both fresh and dried use (although they are slightly better for dry, as the fresh window is very short). Very long pods, averaging about 8-7 beans.

Harvested in 2023, germination tested 2024 with 100% germination rate.

Approx. 15 seeds per packet.
