2017 Another hot year, and variety seems to really struggle in hotter climates. Got few fruit, but has a really nice classic tomato flavour. Like 2016, suffered blossom drop with heat, and liked to be kept moist. A good variety for temperate coastal regions. Didn't crack this year like a lot of my other varieties did, so definitely has that going for it!
2016 Did not do anywhere near as well for me this year as opposed to when I grew it on the coast (2011). Very little fruit, small weak plant, lots of blossom drop. 2016 started as quite dry, then got some moisture, then it got hot and stayed hot (even at night), then torrential downpours all through the end of August and into September. Even my hardiest varieties barely had a shot, so I'd say this variety is best in a milder climate, with less heat.
2011 Hardy indeterminate variety, due to weather got a late start but produced extremely well regardless. Mild flavour, but not bland.
